  Go to Veldt and enter the cave along the edges. A dog will lure you into the cave.

  Follow the dog to Shadow. He will be wounded on the floor of the cave. Grab treasure chests on the way in - look for a weapon called Ichigeki.

  Kill the monster guarding Shadow.

  Take him to Thamasa, where he will find a bed and recuperate.
