"Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade's Revenge"
Spider-Man joined the X-Men, specifically Cyclops, Gambit, Storm and Wolverine, to defeat the game-obsessed villain, Arcade, in this 1992 game. Arcade has kidnapped the X-Men and hidden them in his vastly psychotic amusement park. Spider-Man had to fight his way through this carnival of horrors to rescue the super team, one member at a time. As you rescue the X-Men, they join the fight against Arcade and his army of robots.
"Spider-Man &Venom: Maximum Carnage"
The 1994 release of "Spider-Man &Venom: Maximum Carnage" teamed the webslinger with Venom, one of his deadliest enemies. The game closely followed the comic storyline of the same name in which the offspring of the symbiote that helped create Venom fuses with a serial killer. The result is the merciless supervillain Carnage. Players control either Spider-Man or Venom to fight hordes of criminals and, finally, Carnage himself.
"Spider-Man &Venom: Separation Anxiety"
This 1995 Spider-Man title is the sequel to "Spider-Man &Venom: Maximum Carnage" and, although named after a different storyline, follows the events of "Venom: Lethal Protector." You discover the Venom symbiote produced five other offspring: Agony, Riot, Phage, Scream and Lasher. Spider-Man and Venom team to fight the symbiotes, a team of vigilantes seeking vengeance against Venom, and Carnage, the main boss of the game.

"Spider-Man" from 1995 was the last SNES title starring the hero to be released in the U.S. It was based on "Spider-Man," the animated series which ran from 1994 through 1998. Like previous titles for the SNES, "Spider-Man" was a side-scrolling 2-D action platformer. Spider-Man has to fend off perennial foes such as Venom, Carnage, Scorpion, Rhino, Green Goblin and Mysterio. More than 15 villains are scattered throughout six levels.
