Cheap Boss Hits
Most boss fights in the game can prove quite difficult. Gain a slight upper hand on foes like the sea serpent by hammering down on the "B" button just before the fight starts to fire your weapons. You will knock out an energy bar or two from the boss's life meter before it can attack you.
Easy Extra Points
There are a couple of ways to get some extra points in the game. For one, be sure to spin your boat as you cross the finish line of each level. You will get 1,000 points for every successful rotation. Press the "B" button repeatedly at the start of a race to fire your gun. This will earn you another 1,000- or 2,000-point bonus.
First Level Power-Ups
The first level contains an extra life about halfway through it. Grab this and then run through the rest of the level to get other power-ups on the course. Die on purpose before reaching the finish line to return to the start. You will lose one life, but you can get the extra life on the course again. Repeat this process to power up your boat.
Level 4 Invincibility
The end of Level 4 can be quite tricky as you must dodge a series of moving whirlpools to reach the finish line. Touch one of them and your boat will capsize. The easy way to advance is to have the "Force" power-up ready by collecting five pods along the course. Press the "Select" button to use the "Force" power-up and you will become temporarily invincible, making this section easy to pass.
