Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku
Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku is an action role-playing game published by Infogrames in 2002 for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance. In the game, players control Goku through the early stories in the Dragon Ball Z manga and television show, from the Raditz saga to the Frieza saga. Players use the "A" button to use physical strikes and the "B" button to unleash energy blasts. Legacy of Goku include the RPG genre convention of gaining experience points to increase levels, which makes Goku stronger and faster.
Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure
Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure is a single player action game published by Atari in 2005 for the Game Boy Advance. The game includes four different modes: Story Mode, One-On-One Mode, Versus Mode and Extra Mode. In the Story Mode, players control Goku as he plays through many of the story arcs found in the Dragon Ball manga, from when he first met Bulma until he faces King Piccolo in the World Martial Arts Tournament.
Dragon Ball: Origins
Dragon Ball: Origins is an action / adventure game published by Atari in 2008 for the Nintendo DS. The game allows players to control Goku as he travels with Bulma to locate the seven Dragon Balls. Later on in the game, Goku trains with Master Roshi and competes in the World Martial Arts Tournament. Players can use the touchscreen to move Goku through various areas in the world. All of his signature moves, including the Kamehameha, are included as special attacks in the game.
Dragon Ball: Raging Blast
Dragon Ball: Raging Blast is a on-on-one fighting game published by Namco Bandai for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game features dozens of players from the Dragon Ball universe including Goku, Vegeta, Krillin, Gohan, Piccolo, Cell, Frieza and Buu. The game's story mode, entitled "Dragon Battle Collection," allows players to control Goku and the other characters through the original events of the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z manga. In addition to all of their signature moves, Raging Blast includes of the character's transformations. Upon receiving enough Ki energy, for example, Goku can transform into a Super Saiyan.
