Game Instructions for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie on Xbox

"Spongebob Squarepants: The Movie" was released for the Xbox in 2005. Players will take control of either Spongebob Squarepants or Patrick Star as they attempt to retrieve Neptune's crown. The game is a platforming game, requiring that the players navigate from one end of the level to another while finding treasures and defeating enemies. In addition to the platforming levels, there are also driving levels where you take control of the Patty Wagon.

Instructions

      Use the analog stick to make Spongebob and Patrick move. Press the "White" button to center the camera behind you.

      Press "A" to make Spongebob or Patrick jump. Press "A" again, while in the middle of a jump, to double jump. Double jumping allows you to cross gaps easier and reach hidden sections.

      Press "B" for a dash attack. A dash attack allows you to move quickly and also damage any enemies that you may charge into.

      Press "X" to spin. Use the spin to deflect enemy projectiles back at them.

      Press "Y" for each characters first unique action. Spongebob can bash objects in order to access new places, while Patrick can swing from place to place using his tongue.

      Press the right trigger for each characters second unique action. Patrick can pick up and throw objects, while Spongebob can use his sonic guitar to open up additional areas and damage enemies.

      Press the "Back" button to upgrade your character using the collectibles you find throughout the levels. You can upgrade your health and attack moves to a maximum of three upgrades.

      Use the analog stick to control the Patty Wagon. Press "A" to accelerate, "X" to reverse and the right trigger to apply nitro, making the Patty Wagon go faster.

      Complete the tasks to finish the level. Each level has anywhere from one to five tasks and range from navigating to a specific place, defeating all of the enemies or a boss, or collecting items. Each task is explained in the level they occur in. Press "Start" to view the task at any time.

      Press "Start," select "Options" and then "Save" to save your game. You can load a saved game at the main menu.
