How to Get Into Princess Peach's Castle in Super Mario

"Super Mario 64" is a 3-D platform game released for the Nintendo 64. In it, Mario must save Princess Peach and her castle from the forces of the evil Bowser. While one portion of the castle is initially available to you, you must complete certain in-game tasks to unlock the rest of the castle.

Instructions

  Enter the castle by walking up to its front door. You will open it immediately and have access to the castle's foyer.

  Collect eight Power Stars from any of the sub-worlds available in the castle foyer. Use these stars to open the door in the upper left corner of the foyer. Complete the Bowser In the Dark World level behind this door to unlock the castle basement.

  Collect 31 stars from any of the sub-worlds that you have access to. Then open the star door next to the basement entrance. Complete the Board Bowser's Sub objective in the Dry, Dry, Docks sub-world. Complete the Bowser in the Fire Sea levels behind the star door to unlock the castle's second floor.

  Collect 50 stars from any of the available sub-worlds. Open the star door in the castle's second floor to unlock the castle's mezzanine. Collect 70 stars altogether to open the final door in the mezzanine, giving you access to the game's final level.
