Comix Zone Sega Cheats

"Comix Zone" was originally released on the Sega Genesis in 1995 and is a side-scrolling action game with unique comic-panel visuals. Since its inception, "Comix Zone" has been re-released for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and Xbox Live, and has also been included on Sega compilations such as "Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection" for the Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3. "Comix Zone" does not have a difficulty setting, which may make it challenging to casual gamers. Thankfully, there are a few cheat codes and special strategies that can be employed to lessen the game's difficulty.
  1. Game Genie Codes

    • Those playing on the original Sega Genesis console and who own a Game Genie can use the following codes for "Comix Zone":

AJCV-4A56 -- Invincibility from enemy attacks or non-enemy hazards

AJDV-4A4L -- No damage taken from attacking objects

963B-4JAC -- Spawns an "Ice Tea" item which replenishes the player's life

      HVDV-7AAT + AFDV-6AAW -- Begin on Episode 1, Section 2

      HVDV-7AAT + AKDV-6AAW -- Begin on Episode 2, Section 1

      HVDV-7AAT + APDV-6AAW -- Begin on Episode 2, Section 2

      HVDV-7AAT + AVDV-6AAW -- Begin on Episode 3, Section 1

      HVDV-7AAT + AZDV-6AAW -- Begin on Episode 1, Section 2

Those looking for additional challenge can use the following health-limiting codes:

JBDV-6CB2 -- Player starts with 25% health bar

TBDV-6EB2 -- Player starts with 50% health bar

2BDV-6GB2 -- Player starts with 75% health bar

    Jukebox Input Codes

    • You can input these codes on the Jukebox screen. The Jukebox screen can be accessed from the main screen.

      Invincibility -- Cycle through and press the C button on sounds 3, 12, 17, 2, 2, 10, 2, 7, 7 and 11, in that specific order.

Level select -- Cycle through and press the C button on sounds 14, 15, 18, 5, 13, 1, 3, 18, 15 and 6, in that specific order. Select the level you want to warp to by selecting the sound with the corresponding number, and press the C button.

    View Developer Credits

    • On the options screen, hold all three face buttons on the Genesis controller (A + B + C), and then press the "Start" button. The developer credits for "Comix Zone" will scroll on the screen. You can access the options screen from the main screen.

    Paper Airplane Special Move

    • Hold the A button while in-game to activate the paper airplane special move. The paper airplane does a lot of damage to everything, including yourself, and reduces your life bar with every use.

    Find Hidden Items

    • Your pet rat Roadkill can find hidden items on-screen. Select Roadkill from the inventory and "use" him to let him go. He will sniff around and bring back any hidden items on that panel, if applicable.
