How to Open a Memory Card on a Sony PS1

In 1994, Sony debuted in the world of video gaming, releasing the PlayStation in Japan and other parts of the world. Because the media was stored on compact discs, players needed memory cards to save their games. If you want to open the contents of your memory card to delete some games and save space, you can do this quickly via your console.

     Insert the memory card into the first slot. These memory card slots are located in the front of your PlayStation console.

     Turn on the PlayStation without any games inside.

     Select "Memory Card." This will open the contents of the memory card, allowing you to delete anything you want that is saved on there.
