How to Unlock a Metal Mario in Super Smash Bros. N64

Super Smash Bros. was one of the most successful games ever released on the N64 platform. Gamers logged countless hours in both the single-player and multi-player modes alike. However, some of the most notable Nintendo characters in the Nintendo franchise failed to make the cut for the playable character list. Metal Mario is one such character that didn't make the cut. However, the wonders of cheat codes and the Game Shark cartridge allow gamers to use Metal Mario as a playable character.

Instructions

Activating the Game Shark Code

  Insert the Super Smash Bros. cartridge into the top of the N64 GameShark cartridge. The game cartridge will slide on to the top of the GameShark just as if it were going into the system.

  Insert the GameShark cartridge into the N64 system.

  Power on the N64 system and wait for the GameShark screen to load.

  Select "Enter Game Title" on the GameShark screen and enter "Super Smash Bros."

  Select the "Code Description" slot and enter "Metal Mario."

  Select the "Enter Code" section and enter the code 800A4B3B0D.

  Press the "Start" button once all three categories are entered to launch the game. When the game fully loads, Metal Mario will be a playable character on the character select screen.
