How to Use the Rubber Band Technique on Through the Fire and Flames

The song "Through the Fire and Flames" by DragonForce is regarded as the most difficult track to master in "Guitar Hero III." It requires you to use five buttons on the guitar controller, even though only four of your fingers are available. The "rubber band technique," which can be used only during the intro to the song, will nevertheless give you a much-needed edge to help you tackle the complexities of the rest of the track.

     Pause the level as soon as the song starts.

     Take the rubber band and slip it over the green button on the guitar, ensuring that it is firmly holding down the green button.

     Unpause the game and play the intro to the song; the rubber band on the green button will free up your four fingers for use on the remaining four buttons.

     Pause the game again when the intro finishes and the vocals are about to kick in. Remove the rubber band.
