How to Make Luigi Run Faster

"Super Mario Bros" was first released for the Nintendo Entertainment System, or NES, in 1985 and has seen many re-releases including one on the Nintendo Wii. That marked the first time that many gamers would take control of Mario and his brother Luigi on their quest to save the princess from the heads of the evil Bowser. The controls are identical for both Mario and Luigi -- both characters use the same button controls to jump and run faster.

     Press "Select" on the first player's controller to highlight "2 Player Game" on the main menu. Press "Start" on the first player's controller. The second player will control Luigi.

     Press "Right" or "Left" on the directional pad to make Luigi walk in that direction.

     Hold down the "B" button to make Luigi run faster.
