How to Use Limited Levitation in Gauntlet

Gauntlet is an old hack-and-slash arcade game that has been around since 1987 and that has been remade to fit various platforms and genres. In Gauntlet players must run a vigorous obstacle course filled with monsters, traps and powerful bosses. The players are given a number of items to help them in their quest, and can buy and find more items throughout the game. One of the more useful items is the limited levitation item. This item allows players to levitate over traps, avoiding damage and harsh status ailments that could lead to certain death.

Instructions

  Locate the limited levitation item. The limited levitation item looks like a pair of white angelic wings and is found in chests, and sometimes destroyable barrels, distributed around the levels at random. The limited levitation item is a rare item and might not show up in every level.

  Walk over the limited levitation item. When you step on the limited levitation item, you will pick it up as you do all other items. You will see a pair of flashing wings appear on the back of your character, along with the limited levitation item symbol flashing below your health bar, to let you know that you have the limited levitation item active.

  Walk on traps to receive the effect of the limited levitation item. The trap animation will go off, but you will not receive damage or any status ailments from the trap; you are levitating over it. The limited levitation item lasts for a couple of minutes, and if used wisely can be used to avoid most of the traps on a level. The limited levitation item icon under your health bar will flash a few times to let you know that it is about to run out.
