EC
"EC" indicates that the game is appropriate for players ages 3 or older. No suggestive themes, language or violence are present in a game with this rating, so it is appropriate for all kids.
E
An "E" rating indicates the game is appropriate for players ages 6 or older. A small degree of bad language or violence may be present during the game that may be inappropriate for young kids.
E 10+
A game with the rating "E 10+" is appropriate for players ages 10 and older. Some violence, suggestive themes or bad language are present in these games. Any game rating above an E 10+ -- T, M or AO -- indicates that the game should not be played by children due to inappropriate content.
Content Descriptors
Games also contain a description of content that has caused the game to receive the rating. Some examples of these indicators are "Blood and Gore," "Drug Reference" and "Mature Humor." If the game has any content descriptor that you disapprove of, it is not appropriate for your child regardless of the rating on the game.
