How to Defeat Web Spider on Mega Man X on the SNES

Bospider is the boss for the first part of the Sigma Stage near the end of "Mega Man X." Bospider moves around on a metal web that changes with each attack. Bospider attacks by attempting to drop down onto the player or dropping a group of small spiders. The main difficulty of this fight is Bospider's speed. It is difficult to avoid his attack.

Instructions

- 1
  Switch your weapon to the Shotgun Ice.

  Kill the group of spiders that Bospider drops at the beginning of the fight. These are very weak, slow enemies. The biggest threat from these spiders is as a distraction. Eliminating them quickly makes the fight easier.

  Dash to the opposite side of the web as Bospider drops down. Try to stay as far away as possible from him. A red glow appears on Bospider's body when he lands. This glow indicates he is vulnerable to attack.

  Shoot Bospider while he is glowing. There is only a short window of opportunity to shoot him before he stops glowing.

  Kill any spiders he drops after his attack.
- 6
  Repeat Steps 3 to 5 until Bospider dies.
