How to Travel Back in Time on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

In "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" for the Nintendo 64, you play as Link as a young boy and as a teen, traveling through time to save Hyrule and Princess Zelda from the evil Ganondorf. In the Temple of Time, you must play the Song of Time on your ocarina to open a door to the Master Sword. Once you grab this weapon, you travel forward in time seven years to continue your quest. You will travel back and forth through time on several occasions to complete the adventure.

     Pull out your ocarina and play the Prelude of Light. This song will warp you back to the Temple of Time.

     Enter the temple and go to the pedestal from which you pulled out the Master Sword.

   • 3

     Press the "A" button to put the sword back in its place and go back in time seven years.

   • 4

     Head back to the Temple of Time when you want to go forward in time and press "A" at the pedestal to retrieve the sword.
