Things You'll Need
Instructions
Apply magic cards to Chezni from the outset of the game to increase his affinity to magic early, since he is the most natural user of it. Using magic cards on secondary characters will only impact battles on a short-term basis, whereas Chezni can become powerful very quickly and begin dispatching enemies easily. He will also learn the "Spirit" attack early on, which is the strongest ability in the game.
Use the "Spirit" attack early and often. Few enemies have any resistance to it whatsoever, and while it depletes health, it can hurt multiple targets and end a battle sooner than most weapons.
Cast multiple types of spells in every battle, since casting a particular element's spell just once in battle increases its strength to the same degree that casting it any number of times would. Increasing affinity helps future battles end more quickly.
Give magic cards that boost speed to Midia. Since even health spells deplete the health of the caster, health potions are more effective, but a player must be able to move quickly to use them frequently enough to make up for their lesser ability. Additionally, assigning one player to healing and one to attack is a successful strategy later in the game when enemies can take out a player in one or two shots.
Refill your health bottle supply frequently, or whenever the opportunity presents itself. Having more bottles will allow you to stay in combat for longer and reduce travel time, which helps your characters grow in level faster.
Encounter six Sleeper enemies in one battle to fight the big boss and win the Gomutai sword for Midia, which provides the biggest attack boost in the game. When J Razav appears in the game, remove his Wind Sword and give it to Chezni, who can attack twice per turn with it and deal the most damage in the game between the two hits.
