Start the game and select "New Game."
Press "Left" and "Right" to move your bean pairs around the board as they fall. Press "A," "B" or "C" to rearrange your falling beans. Press "Down" to drop your beans instantly to the bottom of the screen.
Drop beans so that they are connected to like-colored beans. Arms, your first opponent, is not very difficult, so experiment with dropping beans and get used to the game mechanics. Practice dropping beans and making sets as quickly as possible until Arms' picture turns angry.
Practice setting up combos. Drop beans near other beans of the same color, but do not complete sets of four or more. Once you have four or five rows of color-grouped beans, start completing sets and watch as the beans fall into place and create cascading combos which drop even more garbage beans onto Arms' board.
Use either the fast-set creating method or the combo-building method to finish off Arms.
Create sets as quickly as possible against Frankly, the second opponent. He will let his board fill with beans before he starts making sets. Finish him off before he has a chance to start setting off combos.
Use the same quick-set strategy against Humpty. Expect a late-game surge from him, though. Connect any garbage beans he sends your way to regular colored bean sets to clear them away and make room for more combos.
Set up combos against Coconuts. He will fill the two sides of his board first. Set off your combos just before he fills each side to beat him to the punch and quickly finish him.
Continue to mix the quick-set strategy against slow-moving opponents and the combo-building strategy against opponents who show predictable patterns to advance through the ranks and reach Dr. Robotnik.
Concentrate on clearing beans as quickly as you can. The beans fall much faster in this level and Dr. Robotnik can drop as many as 30 garbage beans at once, so you will quickly find yourself in trouble if you try to build up combos too much. Keep an eye on the upcoming bean window in the center of the screen so you know what colors are coming next.
