How to Get Mudkip in Sapphire

Pokemon Sapphire is a sequel to other Pokemon console games, offering new characters, story lines, battles and Pokemon. The game functions the same as the original, with the addition of 'rare' Pokemon, which require a special action to create. In Pokemon Sapphire, one of the special Pokemon is a water type called Mudkip. Mudkip is a valuable Pokemon who can only be unlocked once the player has defeated the Elite Four.

  Visit Fallobor Town by walking down Route 113 or 114. Fallobar Town is located close to Mt. Chimney.

  Walk left to the Fossil Maniacs house when you arrive in the town.

  Talk to the Fossil Maniac. He will tell you a Pokemon fact and lead you to dig a new hole.

  Catch one of the dittos in the new hole the Fossil Maniac digs. There are usually several dittos here, between levels 38 and 48.

  View the map and travel to the Day Care Centre.

  Deposit the Swampert and Ditto to breed.
- 7
  Wait for the Day Care owners to phone and tell you they have a new egg.

  Pick up the egg, and walk for 1500 steps. The egg will crack, and a Mudkip will hatch.
