How to Beat Torchlight Trouble on Donkey Kong Country

"Donkey Kong Country" is a side-scrolling platform game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994 and later ported to the Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance and Wii. Torchlight Trouble is the last stage in World Four of the game. The stage is completely dark, save for a small light that a bird shines on you. You'll need to pay extra attention to your surroundings to beat Torchlight Trouble and advance on to the World Four boss, Gnawty.

Instructions

    • 1

Look at your surroundings. KONG letters, bananas, bonus areas and enemies are hidden in the darkness.

    • 2

Be wary of the fire barrels in the beginning of the stage. You will die if you jump into them.

    • 3

Walk right and kill all of the ground enemies. If you ignore them, there's a chance they'll walk into you from behind.

    • 4

Go to the halfway point in the stage. Head down onto the Continue Barrel, crawl through a passageway and through a Buddy Barrel. Keep heading right until you reach a barrel. Go left and down. Throw a barrel through the rockface. Jump up to touch the barrels to collect a bonus: a banana, banana bunch or red balloon.

    • 5

Continue walking right. Use Diddy Kong to jump over the spike wheels in the second half of the level.

    • 6

Jump over the spike wheel at the very end of the stage to land on the ground far below right in front of the exit. Turn left to the rockface. Pick up the barrel and throw it at the rockface to access the bonus area. Jump on the blue enemy. Jump to the area above the exit of the bonus area to grab the letter "G."
