How to Unlock Luigi in Super Smash Bros.

"Super Smash Bros." for the Nintendo 64 features an all-star cast of Nintendo characters competing in four-player fights in familiar gaming landscapes. This classic brawler spawned a handful of sequels on subsequent Nintendo video gaming platforms. You can unlock additional characters on top of the eight you begin "Super Smash Bros." with by completing certain tasks in the game. Mario's brother, Luigi, is one such unlockable.

Instructions

- 1
  Start "Bonus Game 1" with any of the eight original characters in the game. These include Mario, Link, Yoshi, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Samus Aran and Fox McCloud.

  Beat this bonus game by knocking out all of the targets within the time limit. You can use kicks, punches and secret moves (such as Link's bombs or Mario's fireballs) to accomplish this task.

  Defeat Luigi, who appears after you finish the bonus game. If you lose the fight against Luigi you will need to complete the bonus game again to rematch Luigi. After you beat him in the fight he becomes a playable character in the game.
