Connect the Ethernet cord to the port on the back of the Xbox and then connect the other end to the port on the back of the router. Turn on the Xbox.
Select "Settings" from the dashboard menu and press "X" to open it. Scroll down to the "Static" connection and make sure that it is turned "Off." Scroll to the bottom of the page using the thumb stick and click "Save."
Restart the Xbox console. Navigate to the "Settings" menu again from the dashboard and scroll down to see that DHCP is enabled. Use the thumb stick to highlight the IP address of the Xbox.
Open FlashFXP on your computer. Once it is opened on your desktop, click the symbol that resembles a lighting bolt, which is located on the top tool bar in the middle of the FlashFXP menu.
Type the IP address of the Xbox into the text box titled, "Server or URL." Input the user name and password for your Xbox, which are both Xbox if the settings are still set to default, and click "Connect" at the bottom of the screen. The folders for your Xbox will open up in the menu on the right and the folders for your computer will be in the menu on the left.
Click and drag the music files that you want from your computer over to the folder for your Xbox. Once the transfer is complete, the music is now on the Xbox hard drive.
