How to Connect a Colecovision

The Colecovision is an early video game console that was released by Coleco Industries in 1982. This console was meant to be connected to the televisions released in the '80s, and because of this, the televisions released since the '80s do not have the ports necessary to accept the Colecovision's signal. If you wish to connect your Colecovision console to a television that cannot accept the signal, you can do so with a Colecovision RF adapter.

     Connect the game end of your Colecovision game cable to the port on the back of your console.

     Connect the other end of the game cable to the port on your Colecovision RF adapter.

   • 3

     Connect the RF end of the RF adapter to the coaxial port on the back of your television.

   • 4

     Turn on both your television and Colecovision, and change your television to channel 3. You should now see the signal from your Colecovision on your television screen.
