Street Fighter II: The World Warrior
Capcom&'s popular arcade fighting franchise was ported for the SNES back in June 10, 1991. The game features all the playable notable characters from the arcade version such as Ken, Ryu and Chung-Li. Also included are the four arcade bosses like Balrog, Vega, Dalsim and M. Bison. What sets this apart from its arcade predecessor is its fixes to various cheats and glitches such as Guile&'s infamous "handcuff" maneuver. This iteration of Street Fighter II: The World Warrior was later followed up with Street Fighter II: Turbo: Hyper Fighting and Super Street Fighter II.
Final Fight
The SNES console version of Final Fight was released in November 1991. While it retains playable characters such as Haggar and Cody, the SNES version is notably missing Guy. In addition, Final Fight was also missing certain stages such as the fourth-level Industrial Area, and you could not play under a two-player mode. Despite its lackluster content compared with its arcade version, the first Final Fight for the SNES was followed up by two more Final Fight games in the series: Final Fight 2 and Final Fight 3.
Saturday Night Slam Masters
Saturday Night Slam Masters was released in 1994, and is one of the few Capcom fighting games to be released for both the Genesis and SNES platforms. The game is based off the arcade version, and uses three buttons to apply different combo moves: jump, attack and pin. In addition, players are able to employ body slams and throws as well as using the wrestling ring&'s ropes for other moves. What sets apart the console versions from the arcade format is the "Battle Royal" for the SNES and the "Death Match" mode for the Sega Genesis.
