How to Get Past 4-3 on Super Mario 2

“Super Mario Bros. 2” is a side-scrolling platform game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) video game console and is the sequel to the popular “Super Mario Bros.” game. At the beginning of the game, you can choose to play as one of four characters, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool and Toad. The game includes a series of levels with the boss at the end that you must defeat in order to advance to the next level.

Instructions

- 1
  Start the level by moving up the ladder to exit the cave and then jump up to the hill. Go to the pink bird and jump on one of the eggs that it shoots out of its mouth. Ride the egg across the water.

  Jump off the eggs and land on the platform. Walk into the castle entrance and then jump on the icy platforms until you reach the door at the top. Go through the door and then onto the clouds to get to the castle roof.

  Jump over to the second part of the roof and then fall down to enter the door to your right. Jump onto the red shyguy enemy and let him fall off the ledge while standing on him in order to make it across the pit of spikes.

  Jump onto the platform and go through the door. Get the key from the top platform and then drop down the tower until you reach the locked door. Enter through the door using your key and then run to your right.

  Enter the red door and grab the crystal ball. Hit the fryguy boss with a mushroom block three times and then fryguy will turn into four fireballs. Take out each fireball using a mushroom block and you’ll finish level 4-3.
