How to Make Free World of Warcraft Accounts

"World of Warcraft" is an online role-playing game that entertains people from around the world. While the typical account costs $15, consumers new to the "World of Warcraft" are able to take advantage of a free account for 10 days. While using a free account it is impossible to explore all of Azeroth as that is reserved for consumers who purchase the two expansion packs available as of June 2010.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the "World of Warcraft" website (see Resources). Look in the top right corner of the page for the rectangle advertisement for the 10-day free trial and click on the link.

    • 2

Fill out the online form that appears on the next page. You will be asked for your name, email and password, and to agree to the terms of use. Click the "Play free trial" button.

    • 3

Click the "Download game" button in the center of the screen. This may take a few hours depending on the speed of your connection. You will want to download the game to the recommended directory unless you have extensive computer knowledge so that all future downloads appear in the right location.

    • 4

Open the "World of Warcraft" program. Sign in with the email and password you gave when signing up for the free trial. You will be required to agree to the terms of use before you will be able to continue.

    • 5

Select a realm or server. Players new to the games will be best served by a realm that is designated for new players. Scroll through the list of realms and click on one of the realms and then click "OK."

    • 6

Create a character by selecting "Create new character." You will be given the choice of eight different races and nine different classes. Information on the race and class will appear to the right side of your screen when selecting the different options. Personalize your character's name and look, then click "Accept."
