Instructions

    • 1
RCA ports are the three-colored ports on the front of your VCR.

Place the NES console near your entertainment center, and locate the input and output ports on both the console and your TV setup. You need RCA ports, the three-colored ports on the front of your VCR. If you're using an RF switch, you'll need a coaxial port, like the cable port on your TV.

    • 2

Attach the RF switch or RCA cables to the corresponding ports on your NES console.

    • 3

Plug the RCA cable into the front of your VCR, or connect the RF switch to the coaxial port on the TV.

    • 4

Attach the power adapter to the NES console and an open socket on the wall.

    • 5

Power on the TV and the VCR.

    • 6

Tune the channel on the TV to whichever setting you need for the VCR or cable, depending on how you're connecting the console.

    • 7

Set the VCR to the input or line-in channel needed to access the front RCA cables, or tune the RF switch to the same channel as the TV. You may need to adjust these a few times before you get the settings correct.

    • 8

Insert a game and power on the console. If the game doesn't appear on the screen, continue adjusting the channel on the TV and VCR or RF switch.
