How to Wall Jump in Super Mario 64

Super Mario 64, for the Nintendo 64 console, was the first 3D Mario Game, and also the first Mario game in which Mario's moves offered more than the basic "jump" or "duck." One of the special moves Mario can perform in the game is a "wall jump," which is necessary on certain levels.

Instructions

      Approach the wall you want to wall jump on. Press the "A" button while holding the control in the direction of the wall. This makes Mario jump toward the wall.

      Press the "A" button again, when you make contact with the wall.

    • 3

      Point the control in the opposite direction of the wall immediately thereafter. This increases your wall-jump range.
