How to Modify N64 Controller for USB Port

The Nintendo 64 is a gaming system with popular games such as Mario 64 and Goldeneye. The controller for the system is far different than any you find anywhere else, with three hand grip options and a single thumbstick in the middle. If you like the Nintendo 64 (N64) controller and you want to use it with your computer, you can modify the controller port to connect to a USB port.

  Plug the controller port running out of the end of the Nintendo 64 controller into the USB connection adapter. You can find a N64 to USB adapter at several gaming stores and online.

  Plug the USB cable into any available USB port on your computer.

  Launch the video game on your computer, select the "Controllers" option and follow the calibration steps (such as "move controller left" or "move controller down") to ready your controller. Once complete, you can begin playing your game with the N64 controller
