Super Nintendo Mortal Kombat Cheats

"Mortal Kombat" is a strange game to find on the Super Nintendo. It is an extremely violent game that features a lot of blood that needed to be removed due to Nintendo's strict no-blood standards during that time. This caused certain fatalities to be altered for the port to Super Nintendo. There are many cheats and glitches hidden away in the code of this classic beat-em-up, though you may have to sharpen your Kombat skills to pull some of them off.
  1. Goro Glitch

    • Select Rayden as your character in the third endurance match. Perform his Fatality move and Goro will suddenly appear, flashing the same silver color as your now dead opponent.

    Free Attacks on Goro

    • Goro is a tough opponent who stands his ground in the face of your best attacks. Even the most powerful kicks will only stagger him as opposed to knocking him to the floor. To gain an advantage against this four-armed fiend, select Sub-Zero as your character and unleash your Ice Ball attack. This attack will freeze him in place, but will fade if you strike him or as time passes, but if you sweep kick him, he will remain frozen. You can sweep kick Goro up to three times before he unfreezes, so use this time well.

    Fight Reptile

    • Though the mysterious ninja Reptile is not a playable character until "Mortal Kombat II," you can test your skills against him in a secret fight. To enter this fight, defeat your opponent in any Bridge stage fight without taking a single hit. That means a flawless victory on both rounds of combat. Finish your foe with a Fatality maneuver and your next fight will take place in the spike pit at the bottom of the Bridge against Reptile.
