The mayor̵7;s wife in ̶0;Harvest Moon 64̶1; allows you to place bets on horse or dog races. There is a glitch in the game that allows the player to place bets without risking any money. Talk to her and place any bets you want on the races. Do not press ̶0;OK̶1; on the bet menu, though; instead, press the ̶0;B̶1; button to exit the menu after placing your bets. The game will now reward you for any bets you win, but you will not lose any money for bets you lose. This is a good cheat for getting the medals earned from betting.
Boost Karen's and Dog̵7;s Affection
The affection level of both Karen and your dog can easily be raised with a glitch. This will make Karen easier to marry. It also increases the chance your dog will win in races. Pick up your dog and go find Karen. Keep talking to her over and over again. Karen's and your dog̵7;s affection level will keep increasing every time you talk to her, instead of just the first time. This will only raise the affection level available purely through conversation. You will still need to do quests for higher affection, but this cheat will get past the time-consuming part of affection raising.
Large Milk Cheat
Cows can be milked to earn money in ̶0;Harvest Moon 64.̶1; The health of the cow determines the quantity of milk it gives. There is a glitch that makes it very easy to get a cow that gives large milk, which sells for 300G. First, let the cow get sick. This can be accomplished by not feeding it or just leaving it outside in bad weather. Once the cow is sick, use three medicine items on it. This will cause it to become so healthy that it gives large milk. This saves a lot of time and effort in comparison to the normal method of raising cows.
