Super Mario 3 Cheats for Super Nintendo

Warp to Level 8

• It is possible to warp to level 8 of ̶0;Super Mario 3̶1; as soon as you acquire two warp whistles. This trick works in both the original game and the ̶0;Super Mario All-Stars̶1; release. The earliest point you can warp to Level 8 is the fortress in Level 1. The first warp whistle is located in Level 1-3. There is a white box near the end of the stage. Crouch on it for five seconds and head for the end of the stage. You will actually go behind the goal to a house containing the warp whistle. Be sure not to use it yet. The second warp whistle is located in the fortress of Level 1. You need to be Raccoon Mario to get to it. Simply fly over the top of the level to find a secret door containing the warp whistle. Use the first warp whistle on the game map to take you to the warp zone. Do not enter any of the pipes. Use the second warp whistle in the warp zone. This will take you to another pipe that will take you directly to Level 8.

Infinite Items

• The infinite items cheat is a new one to the ̶0;Super Mario All-Stars̶1; version of ̶0;Super Mario 3.̶1; This cheat requires exploiting the new save system to get an infinite amount of items. Go through the game until you reach Toad̵7;s Mushroom House. Go inside and open the chest to receive the item. Immediately save and exit the game. Reload your saved game. You will have the item you found in the chest, but the chest will now be refilled. You can repeat this over and over to get as many items as you want.

Bowser Secrets

• The final battle with Bowser in ̶0;Super Mario 3̶1; has two secrets that can make winning it much easier. One notable thing about Bowser is that the bottom half of him will not damage Mario. Small Mario can run straight through him without dying. Large Mario can duck and avoid damage if Bowser tries to stomp on you. This makes getting past him very easy. It is also possible to prevent Bowser from spitting fireballs. Use a P-Wing on the map before entering Bowser̵7;s Castle. Use the P-Wing to fly straight up and to the left onto the wall in Bowser̵7;s Room. Walk to the left until you drop into a new room. Ignore the door you will see. Fly back up onto the wall and walk back to Bowser̵7;s Room. Bowser will no longer be able to use fireballs. This cheat makes the fight against Bowser extremely easy.
