Instructions

  1. Basic NES with RCA jacks

    • 1

Plug the RCA cables into their corresponding-colored jacks on the side of the NES. One will be a "video out" and the other will be a "sound out."

    • 2

Plug the other end of the RCA cable into the corresponding jacks on your TV. Note that most TVs have two audio inputs. One will remain unused.

    • 3

Set your TV channel to "aux" or "input" and power up your NES. The game image should be visible.

NES with RF adapter, for older TVs without RCA jacks

    • 4

Unplug antenna/cable/VCR or anything else that may be plugged into the antenna socket on the TV.

    • 5

Plug the antenna/cable/VCR into the corresponding socket on the RF adapter. Plug the RF adapters output into the antenna input on the TV

    • 6

Plug the RF adapter into the RF out socket on the back of the NES system. Set the RF adapter to channel 3.

    • 7

Turn your TV on and change the channel to channel 3 and turn on your NES. Your game image should be visible.

For top loading NES system and newer TV's without coaxle inputs

    • 8

Plug the NES coaxle output into the coaxle input of an old VCR.

    • 9

Plug and RCA cable into the RCA outputs on the VCR.

    • 10

Plug the RCA cable into the corresponding inputs on the TV and turn the TV to its "input" or "auxiliary" channel. Your game image should be visible.
