How to Cosplay Megaman X

One of the most well-known video game characters of all time Megaman X (known as Rockman X in Japan) debuted on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994 and catapulted into instant fame. The star of many video game sequels, manga comics and anime series, Megaman X is an instantly recognizable character and a real challenge for the cosplay aficionado.

Cosplay, in which fans dress as their favorite anime, manga or video characters, is a fast-growing pastime. Cosplaying Megaman X would be either an impressive debut for someone new to the activity or a real coup for someone familiar with this sort of costume building. While many cosplay costumes can be easily assembled from household items, Megaman X requires a great deal of work (and around $75 in supplies) to pull off well.

The three essential parts of the costume you will have to create are: Megaman X's body-armor, Megaman X's helmet and Megaman X's arm-blaster.
