Things You'll Need
Instructions
Remove all power cables from the Super Nintendo. Take out any game cartridges and controllers that may be attached to the console. Place the SNES upside down on a flat surface.
Locate the flap on the bottom of the system. Push the tab forward and pull the cover off, place this piece aside as you will need it if you plan to reassemble the console.
Unscrew the six screws located on the bottom of the console with the Gamebit screwdriver. Turn the screwdriver counterclockwise to loosen the screws. Exercise caution when removing the screws as they can easily become stripped.
Turn the SNES over so that the top is facing upwards. Grip the entire console when turning it over to prevent any pieces from falling out of the console.
Gently lift the top half of the console. This can be done be inserting your finger into the cartridge slot and pulling upwards. The top of the console will detach and you will be able to access all the internal circuits of the Super Nintendo.
Close the console by placing the top half back onto the bottom half and securing the two pieces in place with the six screws.
