Things You'll Need
Instructions
Determine where you will be using your Sonic X character once you have created him. Characters can be used in artwork, stories or as the basis for digital avatars in online games.
Choose the type of character you wish to create. Sonic X is populated with characters based on animals such as rabbits, hedgehogs, bats and foxes. The series also features human characters including Chris and his family. Some characters may be easier to transfer into some mediums than others.
Develop a name and story for your character. The more in-depth you are with your character, the more fleshed out your creation will be. Decide how your character interacts with established Sonic X characters, perhaps he is the brother of Tails or an associate of Dr. Eggman.
Sketch an image of your character. Even if you don't plan on using your character for artwork, a sketch will give you a physical representation of your creation. Sonic X has an anime style, so look at episodes of the show or images of the characters as inspiration.
Expand upon the abilities of your character. If your character is a hedgehog, then speed will be his specialty. Perhaps your character is based off a flying animal, in which case flight will be his contribution to the team.
Incorporate the Sonic games into your character. Sonic X features story lines based off the Sonic Adventure games. Your character can draw on the story lines from earlier games, or even spin-offs. Perhaps you want you character to be the creator of the Mean Bean Machine used by Eggman.
Release your character into the medium of your choice. Recreate your character in World of Warcraft or design levels for him to conquer in Little Big Planet. If you're using the character in fiction and art, create additional characters as you craft your stories.
