How to Download N64 Games

The Nintendo 64 is a popular console that brought us classic games such as GoldenEye, Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64. The console has been out of production since 2001, but as of 2009, every game can still be accessed free online.

Instructions

  1. Downloading the Emulator

      Go to www.pj64-emu.com and click "downloads."

      Download the Project64 v1.7 under the "binaries" folder.

      Run the program to install Project 64, the Nintendo 64's emulator, which will allow you to download and play games on your hard drive.

    Download the Games

      Visit www.emuparadise.org, where you can download a ROM file, which is essentially the game and its files formatted to play on the emulator.

      On the menu on the left side of the screen, click "ROMs, ISOs, &Games".

      Select "Nintendo 64 ROMs" under the "consoles" menu.

      Download any game you want. Here, the games are listed alphabetically. Save the file you want.

      Open the Project 64 emulator and click "file" then "open ROM" to open the game of your choice.
