How to Use a Game Genie

The Game Genie is a cartridge inserted into a video game console that alters a chosen game using an entered cheat code. The Game Genie's effects include invulnerability, infinite resources or items, and the ability to find hidden levels and game secrets. The Game Genie can be used for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Sega Game Gear and Game Boy.

Game Genie
NES Console
Game Boy or Sega Game Gear (Optional)

Instructions

  Fasten the Game Genie onto the end of the cartridge of your chosen NES game. Insert the remaining end of the Game Genie into the console and turn the power on.

  Look up your desired code in the small booklet that comes with your Game Genie.

  Enter your chosen code with your controller to achieve an effect on the game.

  Insert random codes to discover unique codes for your game.

  To use Game Genie for the Game Boy, insert it into the receiving end of a Game Boy. Do not attempt to use any Game Genie on the Game Boy Pocket or Game Boy Color.
