How to Play Super Mario Brothers 2 for Free

"Super Mario Brothers 2" is one of the strangest "Mario" games ever. It is the only "Super Mario Brothers" without a time limit on the levels and the only game in which you can play as Princess or Toadstool in addition to Mario and Luigi. It is also unlike the other Mario games in that Bowser is not the villain. If you loved playing "Super Mario Brothers 2" on the classic Nintendo Entertainment System when you were a kid you'll love playing it as an adult. You don't even need your old NES to be able to enjoy hours of fun. As long as you have a reliable Internet connection and a flash plug in for your browser you can enjoy it all over again.

Instructions

  Go to "Super Mario Brothers 2." (See Resources)

  Click inside the game window to start the game.

  Press the "Enter" key to start. The "Enter" key is the Start button. The "Control" key is the Select button. The arrow keys control movement. "Down" will make your character crouch or go into a vase. "Up" will open a door. "X" is jump. "Z" will pick things up.

  Choose a character. Press the arrow keys to select and "X" to choose. You can play with one of these various characters: Mario who runs fast; Toadstool who picks things up fast; Luigi who hovers when he jumps or Princess who hovers when she jumps. If a character hovers when they jump, they also pick things up slowly.

  Pick turnips to throw at enemies or pick up other enemies and throw them at each other. You can jump on an enemies head to pick them up. When you reach the boss at the end, pick up the eggs she spits at you and throw them at her.
