How to Play Super Nintendo Games on a Mac

Video games have advanced greatly since the days when characters like Sonic and Mario first made appearances. But while today's video games might be more complex or visually appealing, many gamers still enjoy the video games that they grew up with. Thanks to console emulators, you can play games originally for other systems on your personal computer, including Super Nintendo Games on your Mac.

      Go to Zophar's Domain and download the SNES9x emulator, version 1.43 (see Resources below). SNES9x is one of the most popular and most stable Super Nintendo emulators available.

      Go to The Emulator Zone to download Silhouette 1.0, another SNES emulator that will run on Mac computers (see Resources below).

      Go to Softonic and download ZSNES, a Super Nintendo emulator that was originally only for PCs but is now also available for Macs (see Resources below).

      Go to the Super Nintendo section of CoolROM to download the emulator version (also called ROM) of thousands of SNES games (see Resources below).

      Run whichever emulator you chose to download. When you are prompted to select a game, navigate to one of the ROMs you downloaded.
