Start a circuit with any player of your choosing under the 150cc heading. The only way to unlock the levels is to compete at this highest level.
Begin the Mushroom Cup and proceed through each track on the circuit. Make sure to finish this cup with enough winning points to earn the gold medal. If the gold medal is not won, restart the cup challenge.
Begin the next circuit, known as the Shell Cup, only after you have earned a gold medal on the Mushroom Cup. The game will save progress of achievements earned on the Mushroom Cup so you can afford to do the Shell Cup at a later time. Proceed through each race with a player of your choosing. Make sure to earn a gold medal at the end or start over.
Proceed to the Lightning Cup after earning a gold medal on the Shell and Mushroom Cups. Choose a player and proceed through each race of this circuit taking care to earn enough points to be granted a gold medal at circuit's end. If no gold medal is earned, start over and win enough races to earn that title.
Start a circuit in the Special Cup after earning three gold medals in the Mushroom, Shell and Lightning Cups. Just as you have done in these three circuits, win enough races in the Special Cup to earn a gold medal.
Notice that a fifth circuit has appeared on the selection screen after earning all those gold medals. This secret circuit features all of the previous levels but players compete in them going the reverse way of the original track.
