How to Use Codes for Mike Tyson's Punch-Out

Based on the original arcade game "Punch-Out," Mike Tyson's Punch-Out is the upgraded version of the game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Your character, Little Mac, is a lightweight fighter who fights a series of increasingly harder competitors until the finale, a fight against champion Mike Tyson. Winning the game by beating every fighter is possible, but using codes to instantly advance makes you move through the game quickly.

Instructions

    • 1

Input the codes from the main screen of the game. From the main screen, choose "Continue" instead of "New Game." Use the left and right arrow keys to select the numbers of the code and hit the "A" button when you come to the correct number. If you enter a correct code, your game begins.

    • 2

Start at the Major Circuit level by entering the code "005 737 5423." With this code you skip the first three fighters in the Minor Circuit and begin with Don Flamenco. This gets your game off to a faster start, especially if you get tired of having to go through the earlier fighters.

    • 3

Use the code "777 807 3454" to skip the Minor Circuit and the Major Circuit. This code advances you to the final circuit in the game, the World Circuit, where you'll face Piston Honda.

    • 4

Enter the code "267 913 7638" to begin your game against Super Macho Man. Super Macho Man is the last fighter before Mike Tyson. Beat him to get to the champion.

    • 5

Go to the final match up in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out by putting in the code "007 373 5963." Beat Mike Tyson to win the game. You'll need to practice against Mike Tyson many times before you can beat him. However, once you beat him, you can easily begin the game at the beginning and defeat all the fighters.
