How to Use Mods for Minecraft Once They Are Done Downloading

̶0;Minecraft̶1; revolves around open-ended, customizable game play that allows users to generate and explore their own worlds. Although the game̵7;s developers don̵7;t offer any official modifications, the "Minecraft" community has created a vast array of mods that change the look of the "Minecraft" universe and incorporate new items, enemies, animals and other features into the game. Once you̵7;ve downloaded the mod you want to use, installing it is a simple process.

      Go to your Downloads or other folder and right-click the mod ZIP file. Select ̶0;Extract All̶1; from the menu.

      Click the ̶0;Browse̶1; button and then click ̶0;C:|Users|(your user name)|AppData|Roaming|.minecraft.̶1; If you do not see the AppData folder, click the ̶0;View̶1; tab in your user name's folder and check the "Hidden Items" box.

      Click the ̶0;Extract̶1; button. The computer creates a folder labeled with your mod's name in the ".minecraft" folder and places the mod files inside.

      Go to the "Minecraft" folder and open the mod̵7;s folder, the name of which depends on the mod.

      Right-click in the folder and choose ̶0;Select All̶1; from the menu. Right-click on the folder content̵7;s again and select ̶0;Cut.̶1;

      Go back to the main Minecraft folder and open the ̶0;bin̶1; folder.

      Right-click inside the folder and select ̶0;Paste.̶1; Click the ̶0;Replace̶1; option if prompted.

      Launch "Minecraft" as normal to play the mod.
