How to Go Into Minecraft App Data

Knowing the location of the "Minecraft" app data folder can come in handy if you want to back up data such as the worlds you've created in the game. This folder also contains other user-generated data, including any screenshots you have taken while playing. Once you have found the app data folder, you can copy the data to another drive to back up all your "Minecraft" data, and/or transfer it to another computer with "Minecraft" installed.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a File Explorer window from the taskbar or double-click the "Computer" icon on the desktop.
