How to Delete a Texture Pack in Minecraft

Texture packs for the PC version of "Minecraft" enable you to replace the default visuals in the game with custom textures. This can be done to play the game with high-resolution textures or to completely change the look of the graphics if you are tired of the default visuals. To revert back to the original graphics, delete the texture pack files, which versions of the game from 1.6 onward call resource packs, from the "Minecraft" installation folder.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch "Minecraft" and click the "Options" button at the bottom of the main menu.

    • 2

Click the "Resource Packs" button on the options screen to view a list of texture packs.

    • 3

Click the "Open resource packs folder" button on the selection screen.

    • 4

Right-click a texture pack from the folder and select "Delete" from the context menu.

    • 5

Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to delete the selected texture pack.

    • 6

Return to the game and click "Done."
