Step-By-Step for How to Blow Up TNT in Minecraft Pocket Edition in Survival Mode

Although TNT is always a fun thing to play around with in "Minecraft," it is a lot harder to use in the Pocket Edition variant. There are no obvious triggers and you don't get the option of using any of the redstone components that have become a staple of many entertaining explosive projects built in the original game. Although it isn't possible to activate TNT in Creative Mode without installing mods to alter the app's data, you can blow plenty of things up in Survival Mode if you know what you're doing.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your crafting table and find the Flint & Steel option. Craft the item, consuming your Iron Ingot and Flint. Although it won't start any fires, you will need one of these to light the fuse later. This is the only easy way to set off TNT in "Minecraft" Pocket Edition.

    • 2

Select and create the TNT in your crafting menu without leaving the table. This will consumer 4 Sand and 5 Gunpowder for each block you want to make.

    • 3

Place your TNT in the area you want to blow up. If you are trying to activate multiple blocks at the same time, make sure they are all positioned fairly close together. Any TNT block within the blast radius of the first should be activated.

    • 4

Light the fuse on your explosives by equipping the Flint & Steel and tapping once on the block. If you press and hold instead of tapping you will destroy the TNT and have to re-position it. This is a good time to step clear since you only have a couple of seconds before a great deal of damage is done to the surrounding area.
