How to Make Multiple Doors Open by a Lever in Minecraft

If you are building a structure in "Minecraft," it is fair to say you will want a door or two. No matter how big or small your project might be, you need a way to get in and out. It's not much of a stretch to think you might want to automate those doors as well. Any door can be opened or closed using a basic redstone circuit connecting it to a lever or button.

Instructions

  1. Basic Door Automation (Non-Adjacent)

    • 1

Place your doors in their intended positions. They cannot be next to each other because the power connection will have to terminate at each door.

    • 2

Place a lever near the doors.

    • 3

Place a line of redstone dust running from the lever to each door. Make sure that each door is at the end of its own branch of the line. They should now all open or close whenever the level is thrown.

    Adjacent Door Automation

    • 4

Place two or more doors on blocks next to each other.

    • 5

Place a redstone repeater next to each door, ensuring that each one is facing the door.

    • 6

      Place your lever nearby.

    • 7

Place a line of redstone dust between the level and your redstone repeaters. The rear of every repeater must be in contact with the dust to form a circuit. All of your adjacent doors should now respond to the lever being pulled.
