How to Go Into Third Person in Skyrim for a PC

By default, the view in "Skyrim" is first-person, similar to games such as "Doom" and "Call of Duty." However, this is not the viewpoint you have to play the game in, as "Skyrim" enables gamers to switch to a third-person viewpoint, similar to games such as "Dark Messiah of Might & Magic" and "Gears of War." You can switch viewpoints at any time within the game, and all actions are available using the third-person camera. All controls stay the same except for one change in how the camera controls.

     Press the "F" key on your keyboard to change your viewpoint from first- to third-person.

     Scroll your mouse wheel up to zoom in, and scroll the mouse wheel down to zoom out.
