How to Download the Skyrim Creation Kit on Steam

Even though "Skyrim" on the PC features over 100 hours of content, some gamers may feel that this isn't enough. For those gamers, the Skyrim Creation Kit enables them to create brand new content for the game, ranging from weapons and enemies to more in-depth content such as quests and levels. The Creation Kit is available through digital distribution service Steam to any user who owns "Skyrim," and only users who own "Skyrim" can view and download it.

     Place your mouse cursor over the "Library" tab within Steam, and click "Tools" from the drop-down menu.

     Right-click "Creation Kit" from the Tools list, and then click "Install Game." As of July 2013, the Creation Kit is an 89 MB download.

     Click "Next," and then click "I Agree" followed by "Next" to begin installation of the Creation Kit.

     Double-click the "Creation Kit" entry in the Tools list within Steam to launch the Creation Kit.
