Learn the new units and maps. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the many new units in the expansion pack allows you to plan effective strategies. Play Skirmish matches on the lowest possible difficulty; the computer is very easy to defeat, allowing you ample time to experiment with each new unit and explore the map.
Scout your opponent. Always send a unit or two to explore the map and unveil the location of your enemy. By scouting your opponent frequently, you can keep yourself updated with the types of units he is building and plan a successful defense or counterattack.
Build multiple mining vehicles for your Ore Refinery. Having at least three or four mining vehicles allows you to keep a steady stream of currency flowing at all times. Destroying your opponent's mining vehicles allows you to cripple his economy.
Build defensive structures, such as the Tesla Coil for the Soviets and the Prism Tower for the Aliied forces. Use these structures to guard important buildings in your base, such as your power plant or barracks.
Attack your opponent's power plants first. By destroying your opponent's power plants, you cause his base to power down; this shuts down his defensive structures and makes him unable to build new units, putting him at a severe disadvantage.
Stay on the offensive. Constantly attack your opponent with a small group of soldiers; this tactic distracts him from upgrading his units and building new structures while you continue to amass your forces without interruption..
