Each gamer plays as a powerful ̶0;hero̶1; character, such as the Troll Warlord Jah'rakal, accompanied by an army of computer-controlled units called creeps. Other trolls in ̶0;Defense of the Ancients̶1; include the Sacred Warrior Huskar, Shadow Shaman Rhasta, Witch Doctor Vol'jin and Shadow Priest Dazzle.

- The Troll Warlord Jah'rakal is a character from Blizzard's series of ̶0;Warcraft̶1; fantasy games. Jah'rakal's wild appearance ̵1; including his striking red mohawk and ponytail ̵1; reflect his rebellious, passionate temperament. This Troll Warlord went against his people in a pivotal war, siding with a force known as the Sentinel. However, his motivations chiefly lie in proving the worth of trolls as warriors. Perhaps due to his weapon of choice and his fits of rage, Jah'rakal's name means ̶0;Blinding Axe.̶1; While other trolls focus on strength and intelligence attributes, this hero character focuses on agility.
Skills
- Using his Berserker Rage skill, Jah'rakal wildly swings his axes at close range. This move has a 10 percent chance of stunning enemies and gains bonus points in damage and stun categories. Whirling Axes works in melee and ranged forms while Fervor increases the troll's attack speed by 20 with each blow. Blind temporary impairs enemy vision, causing their attacks to miss. Jah'rakal's Battle Trance, which has a high mana cost of 75, casts a spell to temporarily increase the attack speed of the Troll Warlord and his allies by up to 140 percent.

With a total of 473 hit points, Jah'rakal features an HP regeneration rate of 0.76. The troll has 160 mana and a mana regeneration rate of 0.53.
Tips
- Using Berserker rage, which has no mana cost, Jah'rakal can stun enemies and then come in for a speedy, devastating series of melee attacks, using a skill such as Whirling Axes for extra punch. Jah'rakal is most effective against less than three opposing stunners, or powerful heavy hitting hero characters. He tends to be weak against characters with disabling moves. The Troll Warlord has no escape moves, which makes him very susceptible to chain stuns.
